Bertone, following in archrival Pininfarina's footsteps, has spun off its engineering business in an effort to get more outsourced development work from carmakers.
The new company, called Bertone Engineering, began operating in January. Bertone transferred 150 engineers working at production subsidiary Carrozzeria Bertone to a separate, dedicated unit.
