GM Daewoo Auto & Technology is beginning a new product and sales network offensive in Germany with the aim of more than doubling sales.
"This year we expect to achieve German sales of more than 10,500 units," said Erhard Spranger, who heads the GM Daewoo transition team in Europe.
About 5,000 new Daewoos were registered in Germany in 2002.
Daewoo has a German sales network of 282 dealers and 10 service partners. "Our market coverage is not more than 40 percent. We have to change that," said Spranger.
