Parts sharing within Daimler-Chrysler will become "part of our life," said Chrysler Chief Operating Officer Wolfgang Bernhard.
Bernhard said increased sharing of vehicle parts that customers don't see between Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler and affiliates Mitsubishi and Hyundai would be a very effective way of reducing costs.
With common parts ordered in millions per year, D/C would have more clout with suppliers.
