JV to control Ford forge works

A 50-50 joint venture between Neumayer Holding and Ford Motor Co. will assume control of Ford forge works in Cologne, Germany, on Friday, April 11. The operation employs 400.

This is Ford's second such joint venture. Two years ago, Ford linked with German transmissions maker Getrag. Getrag Ford Transmission of Cologne took over Ford's manual transmission unit, which has several locations in Europe.
