Before the end of 2005, Volkswagen group will become the first automaker to build more than 2 million cars annually on the same vehicle platform.
And by 2007, VW will be making 2.4 million units per year on its PQ35, the new version of the Golf platform.
By then, PQ35 will be used for 13 models sold under the VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda brands, and built in 13 countries, according to predictions by Global Insight Automotive.
