WITH SALES of more than 300,000 units and revenues of [euro]4.8 billion last year, Autogerma - a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen group - is second only to Fiat Auto in Italy's automotive business.

In 2002, Autogerma's Italian market share was 13.3 percent compared with Fiat's 27.8 percent.
