Lamborghini, VW near deal
Lamborghini is understood to be close to signing a technical agreement with VW's Audi subsidiary for help in developing the L140, or "Baby Diablo."

* Audi acquired Lamborghini in July 1998 for an undisclosed amount. The production version of the L140 - the Gallardo - was unveiled at the Geneva auto show in March. Lamborghini plans to build 800 to 850 units in 2003 and reach 1,300 units in 2004. Sales of the Gallardo begin this summer. ...
