Mercedes-Benz has postponed a decision on whether to build a convertible version of the SLR super-sports car.

The SLR is assembled at McLaren in Woking, England. Prices start at [euro]360,000.

Beside technical difficulties, the marketing of such a car would also cause problems: It is not clear yet how to position a SLR with 600hp alongside the 500hp AMG version of the Mercedes SL.
