Folz: No diesel worries
Such is the hole in France's finances that there is talk in government circles of raising the price of diesel fuel to help reduce deficits.
Does that worry PSA/Peugeot-Citroen, France's leader in diesel cars? Not a bit, says PSA Chairman Jean-Martin Folz. For one, diesel car sales will continue to grow because of lower fuel consumption and worries about pollution, he predicted. Second, Folz said, "PSA's success is no longer grounded in its advantage in diesel."
