Although it will compete in a shrinking segment, Automobiles Peugeot has high hopes for the 406 replacement that will be go on sale in the first half of next year.
Frederic Saint-Geours, CEO of Automobiles Peugeot, acknowledged that sales are slowing for the Renault Laguna, Citroen C5, Ford Mondeo and other rival models in the upper-medium segment. He also agreed that many traditional buyers of upper-medium models are now choosing
compact minivans or lower-luxury vehicles instead.
