Hyundai will decide on the location of a new assembly plant in central Europe within six months. Several countries are competing for the prize.
Werner Frey, CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe, said the company is close to deciding the volumes needed to make a plant viable.
A new plant is key to Hyundai's European expansion plans. Europe will play a major role in Hyundai's drive to become a top-five global carmaker by 2010, said Frey.
