A big new contract with Daimler-Chrysler's Chrysler group shows that Faurecia is ready to challenge North America's giant interior specialists in their home market.
The deal announced July 8 should boost Faurecia's North Amer-ican business to $1.8 billion (E1.6 billion) by 2006. The French supplier said it would supply car seats and seat frames, dashboards, door panels and exhaust systems to Chrysler.
