Mazda is preparing to launch its first rotary-engine car inEurope since 1996.
The Mazda RX-8, powered by a 1.8-liter Renesis rotary engine, will go on sale in four European countries in October, followed by the rest of Europe shortly afterward.
The car is arriving one month late. Mazda officials say the production ramp-up in Japan was slowed in order to meet quality targets.
