PSA/Peugeot-Citroen's new assembly plant at Trnava, Slovakia, may not bring the boom anticipated by local suppliers.

The French automaker plans to open the factory in 2006. It will join Volkswagen group's Bratislava facility and be Slovakia's second auto assembly plant.

The [euro]700 million project, one of the largest foreign investments in the country, is expected to create 6,000 local supplier and related jobs beyond the 3,500 workers at the plant.
