Some suppliers shun the IAA, but many say it's "a must".(Frankfurt automobile show, 2003)

The IAA in Frankfurt next month is one of the world's biggest car pageants - but auto suppliers are divided about whether exhibiting there

boosts their business.

While manufacturers will be introducing dozens of new models including the Volkswagen Golf, Opel Astra and Volvo S40 to an anticipated 850,000 visitors, some suppliers such as Visteon will be absent. That's a jolt: at the last IAA, Visteon had a two-story stand to entertain prospective clients.
