Ford nears start of V-6 diesel production.(News)(Brief Article)

Ford engineers have begun building the first 10 pre-production V-6 diesels at the new Dagenham diesel center.

When in production, the engines - Ford's first V-6 passenger car diesels - will appear first in the Jaguar S-type next year.

The V-6 diesel has been designed together with PSA/Peugeot-Citroen, Ford's diesel engine partner.

Peugeot and Citroen vehicles will get versions of the engine shortly after Jaguar.
