Suzuki will triple the capacity of its Hungarian assembly plant to 270,000 units annually by 2006.
Itos the latest evidence of Japanese automakers investing heavily to make a renewed effort to penetrate the European market.
Suzukios investment will allow its Magyar Suzuki subsidiary in Esztergom to build four model lines for itself, plus vehicles for Fiat Auto and Subaru.
Separately, Suzukios all-new European headquarters in Frankfurt will be ready for occupation by year-end.
