This is the traditional season for new-model introductions of cars, trucks and other vehicles that we haven't yet figured out how to categorize.

We just spent time at the IAA in Frankfurt, which was a showcase for European vehicles that will be launched in the next six months or so, or at least until the Geneva show in March.

This week, at the Tokyo auto show, Japanese manufacturers will show off their newest production models and dozens of concept cars that will demoralize the rest of the industry.
