There will be no production cuts at Mercedes-Benz's largest assembly plant.

The Sindelfingen, Germany, facility will remain the centerpiece of Mercedes Benz's worldwide production, said Jurgen Hubbert, head of the Mercedes Car Group

Hubbert's comments followed claims by trade unions that Mercedes had lowered its sales forecast for 2003 and would reduce production at the plant.

"There will be no cuts in Sindelfingen, nor in Bremen or Unterturkheim," Hubbert told Automobilwoche.
