BMW has taken direct control of its sales operations in four European countries: Denmark, Greece, Ireland and Luxemburg.
In 2005, BMW will also take over operation of it sales company in Portugal, the last western European country where BMW does not own its own wholesale operation.
Michael Ganal, BMW board in charge of marketing, said new block exemption rules played a key role in BMW's decision to take control of four operations from its former independent operators.
