- Fiat-GM Powertrain will invest [euro]40 million to produce a new six-speed manual transmission for light commercial vehicles.
The transmission will be called the M40. Production will begin in 2006 at the Termoli, Italy, plant.
Fiat-GM Powertrain was created in July 2000, merging Fiat Auto and GM Powertrain operations in Europe and Latin America.
