Goods manufactured in Europe will have a "Made in the EU" label in the future, if Brussels lawmakers get their way.
Auto companies appear relaxed about the proposal. They joined the globalization trend long ago and have shifted production and components sourcing elsewhere, often to low-wage countries. Quality, not production location, is the issue, say companies such as Volkswagen and Robert Bosch.
