The supercar horsepower race is escalating. At the Detroit auto show, DaimlerChrysler unveiled the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, a mid-engine, 862hp sports car capable of more than 400kph.

It's the latest supercar entry from the mass-market auto groups.
