Ford Motor Co. experienced a lot of management changes in Europe last year.

The most controversial change was Martin Leach's departure from the company after about a year as Ford of Europe President. That move directly or indirectly sparked a number changes among automaker executives in Europe in 2003.

Leach sued Ford over his departure, alleging Ford wrongly announced he had resigned and then prevented him from working for a competitor. A US court in Michigan has ruled that Ford cannot prevent Leach from working for another automaker.
