The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is the second road car generated from the Team McLaren Formula One organization, a decade after the [euro]928,000 McLaren F1 that debuted in 1993. Mercedes plans to build 3,500 SLR units during the next seven years. Johnson Controls played a key role in developing the SLR's interior, which mixes Mercedes luxury with supercar functionality.
