A car designed by women for women will be showcased on Volvo's stand at the Geneva auto show.
The YCC is loosely based on the platform Volvo uses for the S40 sedan and V50 station wagon. The core design team consisted of five women.
The YCC has no hood - its front end is designed to be lifted off in one large piece by a mechanic. That's because the team judged that women never lift the hood for maintenance.
