Ferrari may use Fioravanti's patents for an innovative roof system on high-performance cars.
The Fioravanti roof system was unveiled at the 2001 Geneva auto show on Fioravanti's Alfa Romeo Vola concept car.
Conventional rigid roof systems were introduced in production vehicles with the first-generation Mercedes-Benz SLK, which debuted in 1996.
