MG Rover has delivered its first XPower SV supercars to European customers and it hopes to use the car to re-enter the US market.
The SV makes extensive use of carbon fiber. The inner and outer body panels, doors, hood, fenders and bumpers use the lightweight material.
Annual production of the MG Rover supercar will be about 130 units. The car costs around [pounds sterling]75,000 ([euro]112,500).
