Production at Vauxhall's factory in Ellesmere Port, England, will rise 25 percent by the end of 2005 to meet demand for the new Astra.
A third of all European Astras is built at Ellesmere Port, which produces both left-hand- and right-hand-drive models. The Astra also is built at Opel plants in Belgium, Germany and Poland.
