Ford of Europe aims to avoid an incentive war when the new Focus is launched, said company executives.

The redesigned Focus will be a key model for the financially struggling automaker.

Lewis Booth, Ford of Europe president, said the company will try not to get into an incentive war with Volkswagen and Opel when the new Focus is launched this year. He said Ford of Europe is working to build a strong order bank in advance of the launch of its most important new product.
