South Korea may relax import rules on European cars.

The Korean government will move to revise or lift rules that discriminate against European imports, said Lee Hee-boem, South Korea's minister of commerce, industry and energy.

Of the 19,461 imported cars sold in South Korea last year, 62.4 percent or 12,139 were European cars.

BMW was the leading European importer, selling 5,432 cars, followed by Mercedes-Benz, which sold 3,117.
