After its record results in 2003, Audi predicts even more growth, especially in the USA.
Last year Audi sold 769,893 cars worldwide, up from 742,128 units the previous year. Its pre-tax profit was [euro]1.11 billion, 70 percent of the whole VW group's 2003 pre-tax profit.
Martin Winterkorn, Audi's CEO, predicts that US sales will reach 200,000 units by 2008, more than double the 2003 total of 86,421.
