PSA/Peugeot-Citroen's new model launches have been delayed because the group's platform policy is taking longer than expected to develop, PSA CEO Jean-Martin Folz said.

Given European customers' hunger for novelty, the slowdown partly explains why PSA's sales fell 2.7 percent to 2.1 million in 2003.

Sales at Europe's No. 2 automaker remain sluggish, down 5.6 percent to 333,400 in the first two months of this year.
