ZF saw its sales drop last year to [euro]8.9 billion from [euro]9.2 billion in 2002.
The German transmission and chassis systems supplier blames the decline on the deconsolidation of ZF Batavia, its US joint-venture transmission plant with Ford.
ZF CEO Siegfried Goll talked about the company's decision to pull out of the business and shared his views on Germany's future as a production location during an interview with Automotive News Europe's Edmund Chew at ZF headquarters here.
