In a satellite broadcast Friday, June 18, Fritz Henderson advised General Motors Europe employees to "recalibrate themselves to a mind-set of working for General Motors overall."

Employees scratching their heads at Opel, Saab and Vauxhall Motors about what he means can look at North America to see their future.

Henderson, newly appointed as chairman of GM Europe, will oversee the same surgery that GM performed on its divisions here in recent years.
