In Germany about 90 percent of private customers now order their new Mercedes-Benz E-class models with a soot particulate filter. Nearly all of Ford's diesel-equipped C-Max minivans also are fitted with a filter.
The situation will be fairly similar with Opel's Astra and Vectra models. And PSA/Peugeot-Citroen fits filters on most of its diesels - even on small cars.
