Italian supplier Magneti Marelli could sell its Tetrafuel flexible fuel system in China.
Marelli hopes to supply three Chinese carmakers with the engine management system, which allows a vehicle's engine to run on three fuels - gasoline, a gasoline-alcohol mix, and compressed natural gas.
"We see a great potential for the Tetrafuel system in China," said Umberto Basilari, general manager of Magneti Marelli Powertrain in Shanghai.
