PSA/Peugeot-Citroen's introduction of a stop-start gasoline engine could spark a battle between partsmakers that want to supply fuel-saving technology.
The stop-start version of the Citroen C3 will debut at the Paris auto show in September.
France's Valeo supplies the emissions-reducing part, which will be fit on the C3's 1.4-liter, 90 hp engine.
"In 10 years, all cars will be equipped with this kind of system," Valeo CEO Thierry Morin says.
