GM Daewoo President Nick Reilly says changing the Korean automaker's brand name in Europe to Chevrolet will help the small-scale niche car manufacturer to grow into a mainstream brand.

"Going to market as Chevrolet will help us overcome what in some cases are negative perceptions of the brand in Europe due to the past problems of the former Daewoo Motor Co.," Reilly says.
