Renault invested about [euro]205 million in the Pitesti, Romania, plant of its subsidiary Dacia to begin building the Logan. Renault aims to produce 200,000 Logans a year in Romania. The Logan, which is based on the B platform used by Renault and Japanese alliance partner Nissan for the new Renault Modus and the Nissan Micra, reuses many expensive parts from the current Renault Clio platform, including engines, transmissions, front axles, steering, instrument panel, door handles, steering gears and rear brakes.
