Alfa Romeo will add a powerful V-6 turbodiesel engine to its new "939 project" models.
The 939 project is Alfa's code-name for a model range that will replace the 156 sedan and station wagon, GTV coupe and Spider.
Alfa is expected to introduce the 939 sedan, named the 157, next September. The station wagon will follow in November 2005. A coupe version, which will be called the Brera, will follow in spring 2006. The Brera spider is expected in summer 2006.
