Visteon will sell its stereo systems on the aftermarket in Europe. The move is part of the supplier's plans to diversify its business and boost its profile in Europe.
Visteon is the second-largest manufacturer of original equipment car stereos worldwide with annual production of more than 6 million units.
Visteon has had an aftermarket brand called Mach in the US since 2001. Because that name is unknown in Europe, the US supplier will brand its aftermarket stereos as Visteon here.
