Hall of Fame car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro is alive today because he followed his instincts last week.
Giugiaro was set to fly on a small plane that went down late Tuesday near Djermaya, 28 miles east of the capital, N'Djamena, killing four.
"I have never liked planes that are too small, so I opted to get the bigger, 12-seat one," a shaken Giugiaro told Automotive News Europe in a phone interview from N'Djamena.
