Struggling MG Rover hopes to boost flagging sales by introducing its CityRover small car in continental European markets next year.
The British automaker launched the model in the UK in November 2003. It had hoped to sell 30,000 annually but sales to date are just under 6,000 units.
The CityRover is built by Tata Motors in India. In the UK, critics of the car have called it overpriced, under-equipped and poorly built. It retails at [pounds sterling]6,495 ([euro]9,421) in the UK.
