Citroen isn't charging extra for the fuel-saving stop-start system on its C3 small-segment car in the UK and France.

"We want to lure in buyers and get them used to the system," said Jean-Michel Marmiesse, a Citroen spokesman based in Paris.

The French carmaker wants to gauge market reaction to the technology to decide whether to add it to other Citroen models as well as to cars made by sister brand Peugeot.
