BorgWarner added key components and systems to its diesel business with its purchase of German electronics supplier Beru.
The acquisition also takes BorgWarner, which makes engine, transmission and torque controls, into the growing area of tire-pressure monitors.
In the US a new federal law, the TREAD Act, will make tire-pressure monitors mandatory starting in September.
