Model T beats the Mini
The Ford Model T is named Car of the Century by a global panel of 126 jurors, mostly journalists, beating out the Mini, 742 points to 617. In other categories:
Volkswagen group Chairman Ferdinand Piech is named Car Executive of the Century; and Italdesign Giugiaro founder Giorgetto Giugiaro, the creator of the VW Golf, is named Car Designer of the Century.
