Alfa Romeo will switch the Kamal, its first SUV, to its Premium platform. The change will delay the car's introduction to 2007 from next year. Alfa decided the five-door, 4350mm Kamal needed a more solid architecture and late last year decided against using a 4-wheel-drive evolution of the D platform that underpins the Alfa 147 entry-premium model.
