Magna Steyr would like to have more business, but it is at maximum capacity and CEO Manfred Remmel has ruled out further expansion at the company's main complex here.

Instead, the contract manufacturer could look at taking over production capacity from other companies or customers in Europe, Remmel said.

"We must globalize, which means moving beyond Graz," he said.

Magna Steyr is launching production of four new cars in the first half of the year, confirming its dominance among contract assemblers. All will be built in Graz, Austria.
