Overcapacity, or just excuses?(Opinion)

It is time to question conventional wisdom. Manufacturing overcapacity is the scourge of the auto industry. Everyone knows it. If all car plants hummed along at or near capacity, employees, suppliers, dealers and shareholders everywhere would be deliriously happy. They're not because of overcapacity.

Really, though, the term is a cunning euphemism that masks underlying problems within automakers themselves. Overcapacity exists because some don't do their jobs properly.
